Citu team hoping for awards hat trick

Citu could win three awards in two weeks having been recognised for its work at Little Kelham in Sheffield.

The Citu team is up for two prizes at the Celebrating Construction in South Yorkshire Awards, which will take place on 9 October at Cutlers Hall in the centre of Sheffield. Little Kelham has been shortlisted in the Innovation category and will also compete for the Project of the Year prize.

We picked up our fourth award of the year this month.

At a black tie event at York’s National Railway Museum, Citu was named winner of the Sustainability category in the Constructing Excellence Yorkshire & Humber Awards 2015.

Citu was one of many businesses from the region competing for recognition at the event, which is organised by Leeds Beckett University and was this year hosted by BBC Presenter Amy Garcia.

The team at Citu have completed a gruelling challenge which saw them scale the three tallest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales National Park in under 14 hours.

Some 15 members of the Citu team took part in the 24.5-mile trek, up Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent and in doing so raised over £1,500 for Leeds-based charity Simon on the Streets.
