Last weekend, Citu opened its doors for a special Open Day at the the Climate Innovation District. Blessed with glorious sunshine, the event welcomed future residents, curious locals and sustainability enthusiasts to explore the next chapter of living in Leeds.
From the moment visitors arrived, they were immersed in the story of the district, with a chance to view the original handmade architectural models of the Climate Innovation District – a rare behind-the-scenes look at how the vision was born and has taken shape over time.
Our team was on hand throughout the day to speak with guests about the development, answer questions about the homes, and discuss Citu’s unique approach to low-carbon living. The conversations were rich, inspiring and future focussed – a reflection of how connected people are to the values at the core of the District.

Attendees were also treated to an exclusive first look inside the District Lofts – the newest homes in the Climate Innovation District. For the first time, the doors were open for prospective homeowners to step inside, take in the carefully crafted interiors, and soak up the incredible views over Leeds city centre and the River Aire.

Throughout the day, visitors sipped artisan coffee from Greens Grocers or enjoyed a locally brewed beer from Piglove by the River. It was a celebration of not just architecture, but the vibrant community taking shape here.
We were thrilled to welcome many attendees over the course of the day – and even more excited to share that four customers reserved their new Citu homes that day.

As the sun lit up the timber-framed rooftops and green spaces of the district, the Open Day offered a glimpse into the sustainable, design-led future that Citu is building – and a sense of what it means to be part of something truly groundbreaking.
