We’re proud to have recently teamed up with global furniture brand BoConcept for a collaborative interior design project in our latest District Lofts show home at the Climate Innovation District in Leeds. This exciting new show home brings together Citu’s sustainable design principles and BoConcept’s interior design expertise to create a living space that embodies both style and sustainability. The aim? To provide a vision of what the future District Lofts apartments have in store.
Citu’s mission has always been to design homes that are not only sustainable but give a wide spectrum of residents the canvas to create a space for their individual style. Every Citu home is built with the future in mind—combining energy efficiency, innovative technology, and sustainable materials to create spaces that contribute to a healthier planet. With this new show home collaboration, we wanted to elevate our architectural ethos by partnering with BoConcept, a brand known for its modern, modular, and sculptural furniture designs.
As Emma Hurst, at BoConcept, highlights
Citu’s distinctive design philosophy—focused on light, air, and space—comes to life in this show home through large windows that flood the rooms with natural light. The design also celebrates the architectural quirks that make Citu’s homes so unique, from the thoughtful spatial planning to the use of materials. It is in this context that BoConcept’s furniture seamlessly integrates, complementing the design while offering a sense of warmth, comfort, and style.
One of the standout features of the show home is the modularity and simplicity of BoConcept’s furniture, which enhances the space without overpowering it. The carefully curated selection of pieces creates a serene, minimalist atmosphere that allows the architectural details of the home to shine.
BoConcept’s Bergamo sofa, designed by Morten Georgsen, is a perfect example of this approach. With its organic shapes and elegant aesthetic, the Bergamo sofa embodies a design that is both sculptural and functional. The sofa’s loose back cushions provide ultimate comfort and flexibility, making it ideal for modern living. For this show home, the sofa is upholstered in warm Sand Velvet, creating a sophisticated and inviting focal point in the living area. Complementing the sofa, the Light Camel Loom rug adds richness and texture, drawing the eye across the ground floor and central kitchen hub.
This collaboration is not just about creating a beautiful home but enhancing the lifestyle that comes with living in the Climate Innovation District. The show home exemplifies the benefits of living in a space that prioritises sustainability and quality design. With BoConcept’s design expertise, the interior reflects Citu’s commitment to creating homes that are not only functional but also comfortable, stylish, and inspiring.
As Emma eloquently sums up, “We have looked to really elevate the design, whilst keeping a calm and warm colour palette, using some of our most loved BoConcept designs. This collaboration is more than just a showcase of interior design; it’s an invitation to experience the future of sustainable, design-led living.”
